Sindhi to Hindi: translate personal endings, then change the script
A Sindhi participant may not appear as a separate pronoun
Sindhi can express personal reference through affixes attached to nouns, verbs, and prepositional forms. Hindi may need an independent pronoun or another construction to express the same relationship. Read the complete Sindhi word before identifying only its dictionary root.
For a message about somebody’s possession or an action already completed, establish who owns the item, who acted, and who received the action. A compact source form can carry information that Hindi writes separately. Do not erase an unfamiliar suffix merely because the remaining noun or verb is recognisable. The target sentence should preserve the participants, not just the central vocabulary.
Script conversion is not the whole translation
The source here is Arabic-based Sindhi, while Hindi normally uses Devanagari. Sindhi پاڻي and Hindi पानी both mean “water.” An ordinary request needs the target word and construction, not merely a visual conversion of source characters. A name may instead require an established Hindi spelling or careful transliteration.
Sindhi letters distinguish sounds that do not have an obvious one-letter Hindi equivalent. ٻار means “child,” with an implosive initial consonant. For ordinary vocabulary, Hindi बच्चा supplies the meaning rather than imitating every source sound. For a person’s name, however, preserving identity may require a transliteration and a reference to the original spelling.
Do not copy the source level of address mechanically
Sindhi توهان can be plural or respectful. Hindi commonly uses आप for respectful address and तुम for a more familiar relationship. Select a coherent target form based on the actual recipient. The associated verb needs to fit, so replacing the pronoun alone may leave an uneven sentence.
A familiar family exchange does not automatically require a formal Hindi announcement. Conversely, a short request to an unfamiliar person should not become intimate simply because it contains few words. Preserve the relationship conveyed by the Sindhi message rather than applying the same tone to every reader.
Keep grammatical gender attached to the right noun
Both languages have grammatical agreement, but a source noun’s forms do not provide a universal target pattern. Identify what each adjective or verb agrees with before editing the Hindi. A feminine ending describing an object does not establish that the owner or speaker is female.
For a reusable message, save complete phrases with their intended speaker and object rather than isolated interchangeable endings. Finally, compare dates, amounts, and reference codes independently of the prose. Moving from a right-to-left paragraph to Hindi can change how nearby punctuation appears. Preserve an identifier’s actual characters so the recipient can still locate the same person, booking, or payment described in Sindhi.
