English to Uyghur: turn English prepositions and questions into complete forms
English to and at cannot simply follow the noun
Uyghur commonly expresses relationships through endings attached to nouns. The contrast öyge, to the house, and öyde, at or in the house, shows why copying English word order is insufficient. The ending belongs to the word, and its form depends on Uyghur sound patterns.
For a delivery instruction, distinguish Take it to the house from Leave it at the house. The English sentences differ in the action as well as the preposition. A translation should preserve both. Do not shorten the input to house and expect the translator to reconstruct whether it is a destination, a location, or merely the item being discussed.
A question mark does not do all the grammatical work
English can ask a question by moving an auxiliary, as in Are you a teacher? Uyghur uses its own question constructions, including the suffix -mu. English auxiliary words are not a set of independent particles to copy in the same order into the Uyghur sentence.
If the purpose is a yes-or-no question, write the full English question rather than a fragment such as teacher you. That gives the translation a clearer predicate and participant. Check that the output remains a request for confirmation. In a form or interview, changing a question into a statement could record an assumption about someone’s occupation instead of asking them.
A future plan differs from an event happening now
Uyghur distinguishes a present-future pattern from a progressive construction and also has ways to express intention. English I work tomorrow and I am working now do not describe the same time relationship. Keep tomorrow or now in the input when that distinction matters instead of translating only I work.
This helps when arranging a call: a statement about someone’s usual job should not be interpreted as a refusal because they are busy at this moment. Similarly, intending to travel is not the same as already being on the way. The English progressive form can describe either a current event or a planned future arrangement, so its time expression helps determine the Uyghur construction.
Use Uyghur spelling rather than improvised English sounds
The usual Arabic-derived Uyghur alphabet writes vowels as part of the word. Retain them when copying the result. English readers may associate Arabic-shaped writing with Arabic, but selecting Arabic would produce a different language with different grammar. Uyghur’s relationship to Uzbek also does not make Uzbek a substitute target.
Latin-script Uyghur exists, but a rough English sound spelling is not automatically a consistent Latin transcription. If the recipient requests a particular writing system, distinguish that requirement from translation itself. For mixed text containing an English name or reference number, check that the unchanged identifier survives alongside the right-to-left Uyghur sentence without manually reversing its characters.
