Azerbaijani group messages and Bangla address levels
I and we must remain different participants
Azerbaijani distinguishes the individual speaker from a group through mən and biz and their associated predicate forms. Bangla also makes this difference, with “আমি” for I and “আমরা” for we. The number of people represented in the source should determine the target choice.
An Azerbaijani message that a team has finished work must not become a personal claim by the writer alone. Conversely, a statement that the writer needs help does not become a group request merely because several colleagues are mentioned in the following sentence.
The source verbal ending can help identify the participant even where a repeated independent pronoun is omitted. Read the full Azerbaijani predicate rather than guessing from the person currently entering the text. A compact source form may require a target construction whose person marking is distributed differently.
Respectful source you is not every kind of familiar you
Azerbaijani siz provides respectful or plural address, while sən is familiar singular. Bangla distinguishes social choices including respectful “আপনি” and familiar “তুমি”. A source two-way comparison does not settle every target relationship automatically.
For an Azerbaijani inquiry to an unfamiliar teacher, preserve the courteous audience relationship through the Bangla pronoun and predicate. A familiar target phrase cannot necessarily be repaired by adding a respectful greeting before it. The clause itself needs to fit the recipient.
Actual plural reference remains a separate issue. A source group of customers must not be reduced to one listener because the selected target polite example was originally written for a single person. Establish the audience first, then review the target number and address together.
Target agreement does not need to label male and female
Azerbaijani o does not distinguish he from she. Bangla third-person reference and verbal agreement do not require the same male-versus-female distinctions found in some other languages either. An unchanged target form is consequently not evidence by itself that sex information has been lost.
The more useful check is whether the person remains identifiable. In a source paragraph involving two colleagues, retain a necessary name or role where a repeated target pronoun could otherwise refer to either. Social reference and participant identity matter even where grammatical gender does not settle the distinction.
Also avoid adding sex information from an intermediary English gloss. A target explanation using he is not independent evidence about a source person identified only by o.
Similar predicate order does not make suffixes interchangeable
Azerbaijani and Bangla often place the predicate after other clause material, but their case, person and negative constructions remain different. A source occupational ending or negative form cannot be reproduced by attaching the same-looking unit to a Bangla noun.
For a group update followed by a polite question, identify the speaker group separately from the listener. Then check which person each predicate concerns. This preserves the source relationships without assuming that a familiar overall sentence order guarantees matching address or agreement.
