Amharic to Simplified Chinese: express the event stage instead of copying the conjugation
The target verb does not reproduce subject endings
Amharic verbs identify their subject through agreement and can attach object pronouns. Mandarin Chinese does not reproduce that source pattern with an equivalent series of personal verb endings. A translated clause can separate the participants from the action and rely on context where Amharic keeps information inside a word.
For a message about sending a document, identify sender, recipient, and document explicitly in the source context. Then check that the Chinese clause preserves those roles. A target verb remaining unchanged beside different pronouns is not itself an error; the task is to follow the people through the whole sentence rather than demand an Amharic-shaped conjugation.
Past time and completed action are separate checks
Chinese aspect markers include 了 for perfective meaning and 过 for experience. These are not interchangeable substitutes for an Amharic past construction. Reporting that someone completed a task differs from asking whether they have ever performed that kind of task.
A work instruction should distinguish finishing today's translation from having translation experience generally. Include the relevant date or deadline when past or future reference matters. A Chinese aspect marker can help present an event, but it does not independently supply every time relationship that an Amharic reader understands from the original verbal construction.
Quantity needs the category being counted
Chinese uses classifiers in counting and reference expressions. An Amharic item list containing a numeral and noun may therefore acquire an additional grammatical element in the target. That extra element does not necessarily describe a second object or add a new unit to the order.
Keep the actual item noun with its count, especially when translating a fragment such as two large ones. If the item appears only in an earlier Amharic message, include that context. Without it, selecting the target counting expression requires guessing the category of thing intended. For an invoice or stock request, compare quantities after reading the complete noun phrases rather than counting visible Chinese words.
Simplified characters are the requested writing form
This target uses Simplified Chinese. A different character shape in a Traditional Chinese reference does not justify changing the requested script automatically. Conversely, script conversion alone does not determine the local vocabulary, tone, or formality best suited to a recipient.
An Amharic sender should preserve the Chinese characters in the returned result instead of replacing them with approximate Ethiopic syllables. Ordinary Chinese text does not separate its words with spaces the way Amharic does, so a continuous line is not evidence of a broken translation. Check meaning through participants, quantities, and the stage of the event; then check that the selected writing form remains intact when the message is copied or saved.
